We’re going to be sending 30 local teens
on a Spirit of New Zealand voyage.

If you’re aged between 15 and 18, all you have to do is write a 300 word essay entitled ‘One big idea that will make our community a better place to live in’. It could be as simple as a market day to encourage travellers to stop in at your town and sample the local arts and food, or maybe you think a mentoring programme should be introduced to help local teens to achieve their goals – there are thousands of ideas out there but no one knows what your community needs as well as you do. Enter now!

Phil Murray, the entrepreneur behind Gasoline Alley, will be taking a road trip around New Zealand in April. On the way, he’ll be announcing the local winner of each of the 30 Spirit of New Zealand voyages and throwing a good old Kiwi sausage sizzle!
